Catalogue Atlas, photo and cut paper, 18 sheets, 29 x 32 cm, 2014
This is a work primarily focused on color and drawing that seek to seize the border of a landscape between ocean and land. Each step of transformation between a landscape and the other is photographed and classified. Through a methodically organized atlas, the colorful, graphic and material richness of these places is analyzed. The collection was the way to capture the landscape. It is impossible to contain this entire space. Collected can be a means to understand it, but never to seize it.
Observation of nature is the central thread of this research. A reflection on observation. An escape between the immensity and the microscopic.
